HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Take 1 capsule daily, a few hours before or after medications and other natural health products, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond six weeks.
 
At the labelled Canadian dose, 60 capsules provide a 60-day supply.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
BioPerine® contains piperine, which can alter the absorption or metabolism of medications and natural health products. Ask our pharmacist to review this formula before use if you take any prescription medicine, especially one with a narrow therapeutic range.
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you:
Take warfarin, another anticoagulant or an antiplatelet medication
Take medication for diabetes, blood pressure, seizures or immune suppression
Have gallstones, a blocked bile duct, a stomach ulcer or excess stomach acid
Have an existing or previous liver condition
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Are preparing for surgery or a dental procedure
 
Curcumin and piperine may increase bleeding risk or alter medication exposure. Tell the surgical team about this supplement well before a planned procedure and follow its instructions regarding when to stop it.
 
Possible adverse effects include nausea, reflux, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, headache or a skin reaction.
 
Medicinal-dose turmeric and curcumin supplements have rarely been associated with liver injury, and the risk may be greater with enhanced-absorption formulations. Stop use and seek medical advice promptly if yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, unusual tiredness, persistent nausea or vomiting, loss of appetite or upper-abdominal pain develops.
 
Stop use if an allergic reaction occurs. Keep out of reach of children.
 
MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS
Each capsule contains:
Curcumin from turmeric rhizome (Curcuma longa): 475 mg
Piperine from black-pepper fruit (Piper nigrum): 5.035 mg
 
The curcumin is supplied as Curcumin C3 Complex®, standardized to approximately 95% curcuminoids. The piperine is supplied as BioPerine®, an absorption-enhancing black-pepper extract.
 
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS AND ALLERGENS
Hypoallergenic plant cellulose, ascorbyl palmitate and a vegetarian cellulose capsule with purified water.
 
Vegan, non-GMO and labelled free from gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and soy, as well as artificial colours, sweeteners and unnecessary preservatives.
 
STORAGE
Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Use only if the safety seal is intact.
