Fine, silicone-coated lancets designed to obtain a small capillary blood sample for blood glucose testing. The 28-gauge needle and smooth coating are intended to support comfortable, consistent fingertip testing.
 
The assorted colours can help users distinguish testing supplies, but every lancet has the same function and must be discarded after one use.

These lancets create the blood sample only. A compatible glucose meter and test strips are required to measure blood glucose.

HOW TO USE THEM
Wash your hands with soap and warm water, then dry them completely.
Remove the lancing device’s endcap.
Insert a new MICROLET® lancet firmly into the holder.
Twist off the lancet’s protective cap and retain it for safe removal if instructed by the device guide.
Replace the device endcap and select the lowest depth that produces an adequate blood drop.
Press the device firmly against the side of a fingertip and activate it.
Apply the blood sample to the compatible glucose test strip.
Use the lancet ejector to release the used lancet directly into an approved sharps container.
 
Follow the complete instructions supplied with the lancing device.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Use a new lancet for every test. Reused lancets are no longer sterile, become dull and can increase discomfort, tissue damage and infection risk.
 
The lancing device is intended for one person only. Never share the device or lancets, even with a family member, because blood-contaminated equipment can transmit hepatitis and other blood-borne infections.
 
Do not use a lancet if its protective cap is missing, loose or damaged. Do not touch the exposed needle, attempt to clean it or manually remove a used lancet with your fingers.
 
Use only on an approved testing site. Do not lance infected, swollen, bruised, scarred or poorly perfused skin. Apply gentle pressure after testing; people taking anticoagulants or with a bleeding disorder may need to hold pressure longer.
 
Consult a healthcare professional if a puncture site becomes increasingly painful, red, warm, swollen or produces drainage. Seek immediate help following an accidental needlestick involving another person’s used lancet.
 
Keep unused and used lancets securely out of reach of children and pets.
 
MATERIAL AND ALLERGEN INFORMATION
Each lancet contains a sterile, 28-gauge metal needle with a silicone coating and a coloured protective plastic body.
 
Lancets are external medical devices and contain no ingestible ingredients.

DISPOSAL

STORAGE
Store the package in a clean, dry place at room temperature. Keep each lancet’s protective cap intact until immediately before use. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
