Adults with a confirmed zinc deficiency or an acute, increased requirement under professional guidance. Because 50 mg is a high dose intended for acute or intermittent use, the lower-strength 25 mg formula may be more appropriate for routine daily supplementation.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults 19 years and older: Take 1 capsule daily with a meal or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Take it a few hours before or after medications.
 
At the labelled dose, 120 capsules provide a 120-day supply; however, continuous use for that entire period may not be appropriate without assessing zinc and copper intake.
 
MEDICATION & SAFETY CAUTIONS
This product supplies more zinc than the adult tolerable upper intake level of 40 mg per day from all sources. Prolonged high-dose use can reduce copper absorption and lead to copper deficiency, anemia or neurological symptoms.
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner before extended use and check for zinc contained in multivitamins, immune products or cold remedies.
 
Separate zinc from tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics, penicillamine and certain mineral supplements according to your pharmacist’s instructions.
 
Consult before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding or if you take medication or have a medical condition.
 
Possible effects include nausea, stomach discomfort, vomiting, diarrhea or a metallic taste. Taking it with food may improve tolerance. Keep out of reach of children.
