A petroleum-free, SPF 21 lip balm formulated to moisturize dry, chapped lips and help protect them from sunburn. Sun exposure can trigger recurrent cold sores in some people, so regular lip protection may form part of a prevention routine.
 
BEST FOR
Adults seeking a moisturizing lip balm with sunscreen, lysine, botanical extracts and nourishing plant oils. Despite its ColdStick name, this product does not treat the herpes simplex virus and should not replace an antiviral medication for an active cold sore.
 
HOW TO USE IT
Apply generously to the lips 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every two hours and after eating or drinking. Use a water-resistant sunscreen product when swimming or sweating.
 
Ask a doctor before using it on a child younger than six months.
 
MEDICATION & SAFETY CAUTIONS
For external use only. Do not apply to damaged, broken or actively weeping skin. Avoid contact with the eyes and rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs. Stop use and seek advice if irritation or a rash develops.
 
The formula contains propolis, beeswax, echinacea, calendula, tea tree oil and other botanicals that may trigger irritation or an allergic reaction. Avoid it if you have a known allergy to bee products or relevant plant ingredients.
 
If swallowed, contact a poison-control centre. Keep out of reach of children and protect the stick from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

Oxybenzone: 5%
 
Other ingredients include castor, safflower, sunflower and jojoba oils; beeswax and carnauba wax; lysine; vitamins A, D3 and E; goldenseal, echinacea and calendula extracts; propolis; gum benzoin; tea tree oil; and cajeput oil.
