HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Begin with ½ teaspoon daily and gradually increase to 1 teaspoon—approximately 2.5 g—according to tolerance.
 
Place the powder in a cup, add a small amount of hot water and allow it to fizz. Stir until dissolved, then add additional warm or cold water and drink. It may also be mixed with juice.
 
At 1 teaspoon daily, the 452 g container provides approximately 180 servings.
 
MEDICATION & SAFETY CAUTIONS
Magnesium citrate can cause loose stools, abdominal cramping or diarrhea. Reduce the amount if this occurs. Do not exceed the label directions simply to produce a laxative effect.
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have kidney disease, a significant heart-rhythm disorder or another condition affecting electrolyte balance. People with impaired kidney function may be unable to clear excess magnesium safely.
 
Magnesium can reduce the absorption of certain medications. Separate it from levothyroxine, tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, bisphosphonates and other interacting medicines according to your pharmacist’s instructions—often by at least two to four hours.
 
Check your total intake if you also use a multivitamin, electrolyte powder, antacid, laxative or another magnesium supplement.
