WHY WE STOCK IT
A digestive formula combining 500 mg of betaine hydrochloride with 60 mg of concentrated peppermint leaf extract per capsule. It is used in herbal medicine to aid digestion and help relieve gas, bloating and flatulent indigestion. This formula does not contain pepsin.
 
BEST FOR
Adults experiencing occasional gas, bloating or indigestion who may benefit from additional digestive-acid support. It is not suitable for everyone with heartburn—adding acid or peppermint can worsen reflux, gastritis and ulcers. Persistent digestive symptoms should be assessed before assuming low stomach acid.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Take 1 capsule three times daily with meals. Swallow the capsule whole during the meal; do not take it on an empty stomach. At the labelled dose, 60 capsules provide a 20-day supply. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.
 
MEDICATION & SAFETY CAUTIONS
Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, anemia, gallstones or cardiovascular disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
 
Ask our pharmacist before using it with proton-pump inhibitors, H2 blockers or antacids because these medications intentionally reduce stomach acid. Extra caution is also appropriate with regular aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, corticosteroids or other medicines that can irritate the stomach.
 
Stop use if burning, reflux, stomach pain, nausea or worsening digestive symptoms occurs. Seek urgent care for vomiting blood, black tar-like stools, severe abdominal pain, chest pain or difficulty swallowing.
