Creatine is not a steroid, stimulant or hormone. Results still depend on consistent training, adequate protein and energy intake, sleep and recovery.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Take each dose with 500 mL of water or juice.
 
Loading phase: Take 1 scoop, providing 5 g, three or four times daily for 5–7 days. Do not exceed 5 g in a single dose.
 
Maintenance phase: Take ½–1 scoop, providing 2.5–5 g, once daily. A loading phase is optional; taking the maintenance dose consistently will gradually increase muscle creatine stores.
 
Take it separately from caffeine-containing products according to the product label. Because scoop measurements can vary, New Roots Herbal recommends weighing the powder when precise dosing is required.
 
The 400 g container provides 80 full 5 g servings.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have a kidney disorder.
 
Ask our pharmacist before use if you have reduced kidney function, unexplained abnormal kidney-test results, significant dehydration or take medications that can affect the kidneys, including frequent high-dose anti-inflammatory pain relievers or certain diuretics.
 
Creatine may cause temporary water-weight gain as water is drawn into muscle. Some people experience bloating, nausea, stomach discomfort or loose stools, particularly when taking larger loading doses. Dividing the loading dose and taking no more than 5 g at once may improve tolerance.
 
Maintain normal fluid intake, especially during exercise or hot weather. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe muscle pain, marked weakness, very dark urine, reduced urination or persistent digestive symptoms develop.
 
Creatine supplementation can increase blood creatinine without necessarily indicating kidney damage. Tell the healthcare professional interpreting your kidney bloodwork that you take creatine.
