Adults with osteoarthritis-related joint discomfort who want a single-ingredient glucosamine supplement, including people limiting their sodium intake.
 
Glucosamine is not an immediate pain reliever. The manufacturer recommends using it consistently for at least four weeks before assessing its benefit. It does not replace exercise, weight management, physiotherapy or prescribed osteoarthritis treatment.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Take 1 capsule three times daily with food, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
 
The daily dose provides 1,500 mg of glucosamine sulfate. At this dose, 180 capsules provide a 60-day supply.
 
Use for at least four weeks to assess beneficial effects.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if joint symptoms worsen.
 
Ask our pharmacist before use if you:
Take warfarin or another anticoagulant
Have diabetes or monitor your blood glucose
Have kidney disease or follow a potassium-restricted diet
Have an allergy to crab, shrimp, lobster or other shellfish
Are preparing for surgery
 
Glucosamine may increase the anticoagulant effect of warfarin in some people. Blood-glucose monitoring may also be appropriate when starting it if you have diabetes.
 
Possible adverse effects include nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, headache or skin reactions. Stop use and seek medical advice if an allergic reaction occurs.
 
Seek medical assessment for a hot, markedly swollen or red joint; sudden severe pain; fever; recent significant injury; or discomfort that continues to worsen. Keep out of reach of children.

Stabilized glucosamine sulfate complex: 667 mg
Providing glucosamine sulfate from shellfish exoskeletons: 500 mg
 
Non-medicinal ingredients: Gelatin capsule, purified water and vegetable-grade magnesium stearate.
 
Contains shellfish-derived glucosamine and gelatin. This product is not vegetarian or vegan.
 
Each capsule contains less than 0.5 mg of sodium and less than 100 mg of potassium.
 
Labelled free from dairy, sugar, wheat, gluten, yeast, soy, corn, egg, salt, tree nuts, genetically modified ingredients, artificial colours, preservatives and sweeteners.
