WHY WE STOCK IT
A Canadian-made, alcohol-free witch hazel hydrosol steam-distilled from Hamamelis virginiana. Unlike many conventional witch hazel products made with added alcohol, this single-ingredient botanical water provides gentle astringent and refreshing properties without the same drying feel.
 
BEST FOR
Normal, combination or oily skin seeking a simple, fragrance-free facial toner. It may also be used as a cooling cosmetic mist or compress for temporarily uncomfortable or weather-stressed skin.
 
Witch hazel hydrosol may help skin feel refreshed and less oily, but it is not a disinfectant or proven treatment for acne, eczema, psoriasis, infection or another medical skin condition.
 
HOW TO USE IT
After cleansing, apply a small amount to a clean cotton or reusable pad and gently sweep it over the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Follow with a moisturizer.
 
It may also be applied to the body as a refreshing botanical water or incorporated as the water phase in properly formulated homemade skincare.
 
IMPORTANT DIY FORMULATION NOTE
Witch hazel hydrosol does not safely dissolve or dilute essential oils by itself. Essential oils will float on the water and may contact the skin undiluted unless an appropriate cosmetic solubilizer is used.
 
Because this hydrosol contains no added preservative, adding water, aloe, herbs or other ingredients can increase contamination risk. Homemade products require suitable sanitation, preservation and formulation practices.
 
SAFETY & STORAGE
For external use only. Do not swallow or spray directly into the eyes. If eye contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
 
Patch-test before facial use, particularly on very dry, reactive or rosacea-prone skin. Stop use if persistent stinging, redness or irritation develops.
 
Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool place away from heat and direct sunlight. Avoid touching the bottle opening or returning used product to the container. Discard it if the colour, odour or clarity changes or if signs of contamination appear.
