A once-daily iron supplement providing 40 mg of elemental iron as carbonyl iron. It helps form and support the proper function of red blood cells and helps prevent iron-deficiency anemia.
 
BEST FOR
Adults and children aged six years and older who need additional iron based on diet, life stage or healthcare guidance. Iron supplementation is best guided by bloodwork, including hemoglobin and ferritin levels, because fatigue does not always indicate iron deficiency.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults and children aged six years and older: take 1 capsule daily with a meal or as directed by a healthcare professional. Take it a few hours before or after other medications. Avoid taking it at the same time as calcium supplements, antacids, dairy, coffee or tea, which may reduce absorption.
 
MEDICATION CAUTIONS
Separate iron by several hours from levothyroxine, tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, bisphosphonates and other medications unless your pharmacist provides different instructions. Do not use without professional guidance if you have hemochromatosis, another iron-overload disorder or anemia not caused by iron deficiency. Constipation, diarrhea, nausea, dark stools or vomiting may occur.
