WHY WE STOCK IT
A concentrated green-tea extract standardized to provide consistent amounts of catechins and EGCG. These plant compounds act as antioxidants and help protect plasma and lipoproteins from oxidative damage while supporting the body’s antioxidant capacity.
Each capsule provides 315 mg of EGCG with only 7 mg of naturally occurring caffeine.
BEST FOR
Adults seeking a high-potency, standardized green-tea extract for antioxidant support without drinking several cups of green tea throughout the day.
This is a concentrated extract and should not be treated as equivalent to an ordinary cup of tea. Evidence that green-tea supplements produce meaningful weight loss is inconsistent, and this product does not replace nutrition, physical activity or medical treatment.
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults 18 years and older: Take 1 capsule three times daily with food, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
Swallow the capsules whole. Do not open or empty them because this may compromise the medicinal ingredients. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose unless instructed by a healthcare practitioner.
At the full dose, the 180-capsule bottle provides a 60-day supply. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Never take concentrated green-tea extract on an empty stomach. Fasting can substantially increase EGCG absorption and may increase the risk of liver injury.
Rare and unpredictable cases of liver injury have been associated with green-tea extract products. Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you have liver disease, elevated liver enzymes, hepatitis, a history of supplement-related liver injury or an iron deficiency.
Stop use immediately and seek medical advice if you develop:
Yellowing of the skin or eyes
Dark urine
Upper abdominal pain
Persistent nausea or vomiting
Unusual sweating, tiredness or weakness
Loss of appetite
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Ask our pharmacist before use if you take nadolol, warfarin or another blood thinner, stimulant medication, medication that can affect the liver, or chemotherapy. Green-tea extract may alter the absorption or effects of certain medications.
Green-tea polyphenols can reduce non-heme iron absorption. Take this product separately from iron supplements and iron-rich meals if you have low iron, following professional advice.
The daily dose contains approximately 21 mg of caffeine. Include this amount when calculating caffeine from coffee, tea, energy drinks, chocolate and other supplements. Limit use if caffeine causes anxiety, palpitations, tremors or insomnia.
Keep out of reach of children.
