Model 2 holds the equivalent of approximately six regular tampons and is designed for heavier flow and a wider fit.
 
BEST FOR
People aged 35 and older, those who have given birth, or anyone with a wider vaginal canal or heavy to very heavy menstrual flow.
 
Age and childbirth are only general sizing guidelines. Flow, anatomy, cervix position and pelvic-floor tone can also influence which cup fits most comfortably. Model 2 may feel too large or firm for some users, regardless of age or childbirth history.
 
HOW TO USE IT
Before first use, place the cup in an open pot of boiling water for 5–10 minutes. Use enough water to prevent the pot from boiling dry and keep the cup from touching the bottom or sides of the pot.
 
To insert:
Wash your hands and the cup thoroughly.
Fold the cup using the U-fold, push-down fold or another comfortable technique.
Relax your pelvic-floor muscles and insert the folded cup horizontally toward the tailbone—not straight upward.
Allow it to open, then grip the base and rotate it one complete turn to help establish a seal.
Check that the cup has opened fully and feels comfortable.
 
Empty and clean the cup at least once every 12 hours. Empty it more frequently during very heavy flow and use the visible measuring lines to help monitor volume.
 
To remove it, wash your hands, relax and gently pinch the base to release the seal. Keep the base pinched while easing the cup out. Never pull it out by the stem alone.
 
CLEANING AND CARE
Rinse the cup initially with cold water to help reduce staining, then wash it using warm water and a mild, fragrance-free, oil-free cleanser. Check that the small air holes beneath the rim remain clear.
 
At the beginning or end of each menstrual cycle, boil the cup for 5–10 minutes. Allow it to dry completely and store it in the breathable cotton pouch provided. Do not store it in an airtight container or plastic bag.
 
Inspect the cup regularly. Replace it if the silicone develops a sticky or powdery film, cracks, persistent odour, severe discolouration or other signs of deterioration. With appropriate care, Diva advises that a cup may last for up to five years, although its actual lifespan varies.
 
SAFETY CAUTIONS
Menstrual cups have been associated with rare cases of toxic shock syndrome.
 
Remove the cup and seek urgent medical attention if sudden fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting, muscle pain or a sunburn-like rash develops during use.
 
Do not use the cup:
For postpartum bleeding
During vaginal intercourse
As contraception or protection against sexually transmitted infections
If insertion or removal causes significant pain
Following pelvic surgery or childbirth until a healthcare professional confirms that internal menstrual products are appropriate
 
If you have an intrauterine device, pelvic-organ prolapse, vaginismus, recurrent vaginal infections or another gynecological concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use. Always release the seal before removal and take care not to pull the IUD strings.
 
Stop use and seek advice if you experience persistent pain, urinary difficulty, unusual discharge, irritation, recurrent leakage or difficulty removing the cup.
 
If the cup cannot be removed and has been inserted for more than 12 hours, obtain medical assistance. Never use tweezers, pliers or another tool to remove it.
