A Health Canada–licensed liquid herbal formula made with fresh garlic bulb. It is traditionally used in herbal medicine to help relieve symptoms associated with upper respiratory tract infections and catarrhal conditions, such as excessive mucus and congestion.
 
The Arctic cherry and mint flavour helps make the concentrated garlic extract easier for adults and children to take.

HOW TO TAKE IT
Shake well before use.
Adults and adolescents 10 years and older: Take 2–3 mL up to three times daily.
Children 2–9 years: Take 1 mL up to three times daily.
Children younger than 2 years: Do not use unless specifically directed by a healthcare professional.
 
The measured dose may be diluted in juice or yogurt. Use an accurate oral syringe or measuring device rather than a household spoon.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you:
Are pregnant
Have diabetes or take blood-glucose-lowering medication
Take warfarin, another anticoagulant or an antiplatelet medication
Take an HIV protease inhibitor
Have a bleeding disorder or are preparing for surgery
 
Garlic supplements may increase bleeding risk when combined with blood thinners. They may also affect blood glucose and interact with certain medications.
 
The formula contains ethanol. Parents and caregivers should follow the labelled child-specific dose carefully. Nursing mothers are included in the manufacturer’s directions, but should still consult a healthcare professional if the infant is premature, medically vulnerable or taking medication.
 
Stop use if an allergic reaction occurs. Garlic may also cause heartburn, nausea, stomach irritation, loose stools or a garlic taste or odour.
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Seek prompt medical care for difficulty breathing, chest pain, bluish lips, dehydration, confusion, a severe or persistent fever, coughing up blood or symptoms in a medically vulnerable person.

NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS
Glycerine, ethanol, cherry juice and natural mint flavour.

No soy ingredient is listed in the available formula. However, an explicit manufacturer-certified soy-free claim could not be confirmed, so customers with a severe soy allergy should check the current bottle or contact Strauss before use.
