WHY WE STOCK IT
Super-absorbency tampons made with 100% certified organic cotton, including the absorbent core, protective cotton layer and removal string. Each tampon is individually paper-wrapped and supplied with a cardboard applicator for comfortable insertion.
 
They contain no added fragrance, dyes or rayon and are purified without chlorine bleach.
 
BEST FOR
Medium-to-heavy menstrual-flow days when regular absorbency is insufficient. In Canada, Super absorbency means that a tampon absorbs more than 9 g but less than 12 g of fluid under standardized testing.
 
Always select the lowest absorbency that adequately controls your flow. If a tampon remains mostly dry or is uncomfortable to remove after several hours, switch to a lower absorbency.
 
Organic cotton may be preferable for customers avoiding synthetic fibres or added fragrance, but organic cotton does not eliminate the risk of toxic shock syndrome.
 
HOW TO USE IT
Wash and dry your hands before opening the individual wrapper.
Relax in a comfortable seated, squatting or standing position.
Hold the cardboard applicator at its grip and gently insert the rounded end into the vagina, directing it slightly toward the lower back.
Push the inner tube completely into the outer tube to release the tampon.
Remove both applicator sections, leaving the removal string outside the body.
Dispose of the applicator and wrapper in household waste.
 
Change the tampon every 4–8 hours and use a lower absorbency when flow becomes lighter. Health Canada advises against using tampons overnight; choose a pad, period underwear or another suitable external product instead.
 
To remove, wash your hands and gently pull the string downward and forward. Wrap the used tampon and place it in household waste.
 
TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME WARNING
Tampons are associated with toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a rare but serious illness that can be fatal.
 
Remove the tampon immediately and seek emergency medical care if you develop sudden high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting, confusion, muscle pain, low blood pressure or a sunburn-like rash during your period or shortly afterward. Tell the healthcare professional that you were using a tampon.
 
Do not use tampons if you have previously experienced TSS unless a healthcare professional has specifically advised that they are appropriate.
 
To reduce risk:
Use the lowest absorbency suitable for your flow
Change each tampon every 4–8 hours
Never insert more than one tampon at a time
Remember to remove the final tampon at the end of your period
Alternate with pads or liners when practical
Use tampons only during menstrual bleeding—not for vaginal discharge or in anticipation of a period
 
ADDITIONAL SAFETY CAUTIONS
Tampons are for single use only. Do not reuse them and do not use one with damaged or opened wrapping

Stop use and seek advice if insertion or removal causes significant pain, dryness, irritation, unusual discharge or persistent discomfort. Consult a healthcare professional if you cannot remove a tampon or believe one may have been forgotten.
 
Seek medical assessment if you soak through a Super tampon every hour for two consecutive hours, pass very large clots, feel faint or experience unusually heavy or prolonged bleeding.
 
Do not use tampons for postpartum bleeding unless a healthcare professional has confirmed that internal menstrual products are appropriate.

The tampon itself is biodegradable, but used menstrual products should still be placed in household waste. Do not flush the tampon, applicator or wrapper down the toilet.
