WHY WE STOCK IT
A blueberry-flavoured liquid combining calcium citrate, magnesium citrate and vitamins D3 and K2 to support growing bones and teeth. Each 5 mL teaspoon provides 166.66 mg of calcium, 65 mg of magnesium, 333 IU of vitamin D3 and 30 mcg of vitamin K2.
 
The liquid format is suitable for children who have difficulty swallowing tablets or capsules.
 
BEST FOR
Children one year and older who may not obtain enough calcium and magnesium from food, including selective eaters and children who consume few dairy products or fortified alternatives.
 
This formula supplements a balanced diet; one teaspoon does not provide a child’s complete daily calcium requirement. Encourage calcium-rich foods such as dairy products, fortified plant beverages, calcium-set tofu, canned salmon with bones, beans and leafy green vegetables when appropriate.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Shake vigorously before every use and take with food:
Children 1–8 years: Take 1 teaspoon or 5 mL once daily
Children and adolescents 9–18 years: Take 1 teaspoon or 5 mL once or twice daily
 
Take it a few hours before or after other medications or natural health products.
At 5 mL daily, the 450 mL bottle provides approximately 90 servings. Use a proper measuring spoon or oral syringe rather than a household teaspoon.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if the child takes warfarin or another anticoagulant. Vitamin K2 can interfere with warfarin therapy, and the child’s vitamin K intake should remain consistent.
 
Calcium and magnesium can reduce the absorption of certain medications. Ask our pharmacist about appropriate separation from:
Levothyroxine
Tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics
Bisphosphonate medications
Iron, zinc or other mineral supplements
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if the child has kidney disease, elevated blood calcium, kidney stones, a parathyroid condition or another disorder affecting calcium or vitamin D metabolism.
 
Possible effects include nausea, stomach discomfort, constipation or loose stools. Stop use and seek advice if a concerning reaction develops.
 
The formula contains xylitol, which is extremely toxic to dogs. Keep the bottle and any spills securely away from pets. Keep out of reach of children and do not use if the safety seal is broken.
