WHY WE STOCK IT
A plant-based digestive-enzyme formula combining 250 mg of papaya fruit with 6 mg of papain per capsule. Papain provides 600,000 FCC papain units of protein-digesting enzyme activity, making the standardized activity more informative than milligrams alone.
BEST FOR
Adults seeking digestive-enzyme support with meals, particularly meals containing protein. This is a papaya fruit-and-enzyme formula—not papaya leaf or seed extract—and it should not be promoted as a treatment for parasites or chronic digestive disease.
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Take 1–3 capsules one to three times daily with meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Use the lowest effective dose and consult a healthcare practitioner for prolonged use.
Depending on the dose selected, 100 capsules provide approximately an 11- to 100-day supply.
MEDICATION & SAFETY CAUTIONS
Do not use with blood thinners such as warfarin. Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you take an anticoagulant, aspirin, anti-inflammatory medication or another digestive-enzyme product, or if you have an upcoming surgery.
Consult before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding or if you have a gastrointestinal ulcer or lesion. Stop use if abdominal pain, irritation or another digestive symptom develops or worsens.
Papain can cause allergic reactions, particularly in people allergic to latex or cross-reactive fruits such as avocado, banana, chestnut, kiwi, mango, melon, passionfruit, fig, pineapple, peach or tomato. Stop use immediately if hives, swelling, wheezing or difficulty breathing occurs.
