Evidence that meaningful amounts of magnesium are absorbed through intact skin remains limited, so these flakes should not be relied upon to correct a diagnosed magnesium deficiency.
 
HOW TO USE IT
For a full bath, dissolve approximately 1 cup—or the desired amount—in warm water. Soak for 20–30 minutes, then rinse the skin.
 
For a foot soak, dissolve approximately ½ cup in a basin of warm water. Soak the feet for 20–30 minutes, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
 
For exfoliation, mix equal parts flakes and body wash, massage very gently onto intact skin and rinse. Avoid vigorous scrubbing.
 
SAFETY CAUTIONS
For external use only. Do not swallow or use as an oral magnesium supplement. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not apply to open wounds, freshly shaved, inflamed or irritated skin because magnesium chloride may sting.
 
Stop use and rinse immediately if significant burning, redness, itching or irritation occurs. Use comfortably warm—not excessively hot—water, particularly if you are pregnant, have reduced sensation, poor circulation, diabetes, low blood pressure or a heart condition.
 
Consult a healthcare professional before frequent or extensive use if you have significant kidney disease. Children require adult supervision around baths and foot-soak containers. The flakes attract moisture, so keep the package tightly sealed and store it in a cool, dry place.
