This product is not thyroid hormone and does not treat hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, Graves’ disease, thyroid nodules or thyroid cancer.
 
Symptoms such as fatigue, constipation, hair loss, feeling cold or unexplained weight changes require appropriate assessment and thyroid bloodwork rather than self-treatment with iodine.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults 19 years and older: Take 2 capsules daily.
At the labelled dose, 60 capsules provide a 30-day supply.
 
If you take levothyroxine, desiccated thyroid or another thyroid medication, take Thyroid-Pro at least four hours apart unless your prescriber or pharmacist provides different instructions. Zinc, manganese and other minerals can reduce thyroid-medication absorption.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you:
Have hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, Graves’ disease, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer or a previous thyroidectomy
Take levothyroxine, desiccated thyroid, liothyronine or another thyroid medication
Take levodopa, an MAO-inhibitor antidepressant, a sedative or an immunosuppressant
Follow a low-protein diet
Have a history of non-melanoma skin cancer
Have an autoimmune condition, liver disease or another significant medical condition
 
Iodine may worsen thyroid dysfunction in susceptible people, including some people with autoimmune thyroid disease. Ashwagandha may also affect thyroid-hormone levels. Thyroid medication should not be started, stopped or adjusted without bloodwork and guidance from the prescriber.
 
Do not combine this product with kelp, iodine drops, high-dose selenium or another thyroid formula unless the total daily intake has been reviewed. The labelled two-capsule dose provides 400 mcg of iodine and 200 mcg of selenium before food and other supplements are counted.
 
Consumption with alcohol, sedating medication or natural health products with sedative effects is not recommended.
 
Stop use and seek advice if you develop a racing or irregular heartbeat, tremor, unexplained sweating, agitation, insomnia, worsening anxiety, significant diarrhea or unexpected weight loss. Seek urgent care for chest pain, severe shortness of breath or fainting.
 
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the safety seal is broken.
 
INGREDIENT AND ALLERGEN INFORMATION
Each capsule contains:
L-tyrosine: 450 mg
Ashwagandha-root extract standardized to 1.5% withanolides: 100 mg
Zinc from Albion™ zinc bisglycinate chelate: 7.5 mg
Copper from Albion™ copper bisglycinate chelate: 1.5 mg
Manganese from Albion™ manganese bisglycinate chelate: 500 mcg
Iodine from Laminaria digitata and Ascophyllum nodosum bladderwrack: 200 mcg
Selenium from Albion™ selenium glycinate complex: 100 mcg
 
The full two-capsule daily dose provides 900 mg of L-tyrosine, 200 mg of ashwagandha, 15 mg of zinc, 3 mg of copper, 1 mg of manganese, 400 mcg of iodine and 200 mcg of selenium.
 
Non-medicinal ingredients: Hypromellose and magnesium stearate.
 
Vegan and non-GMO. Free from gluten, dairy, soy, wheat, artificial colours, artificial flavours and preservatives. CanPrev advises that some ingredients may have come into contact with crustaceans; customers with a severe shellfish allergy should consult the manufacturer before use.
