Blonde, light or grey hair may become vivid copper or orange-red.
Light- to medium-brown hair generally develops warm auburn highlights.
Dark-brown or black hair may show subtle red highlights, especially in bright light.
 
Results on grey hair can be brighter and less uniform than on pigmented hair. Henna cannot lighten dark hair, and Red Sunset should not be represented as providing predictable or complete grey coverage.
 
Perform a strand test before colouring the entire head—particularly on bleached, highlighted, permed, relaxed, porous, grey or previously coloured hair.
 
HOW TO USE IT
Follow the directions enclosed with the physical package. General preparation directions are:
Protect clothing and nearby surfaces, and wear disposable gloves.
Place the required amount of powder in a non-metal bowl.
Gradually add warm water while stirring until a smooth, spreadable paste forms.
Apply evenly to clean, damp hair, working from the roots to the ends. Apply carefully to grey areas first if additional colour deposition is desired.
Cover the hair with a plastic cap to keep the mixture warm and moist.
Leave it on for approximately 30–45 minutes for lighter colour or up to 60 minutes for a deeper result, unless the package directs otherwise.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water until the water runs clear. Shampoo and condition as directed on the package.
 
Colour may continue developing during the first 24–48 hours. Avoid making a final judgement immediately after rinsing.
 
Mix only what is needed for one application. Do not return wet or contaminated powder to the original package.
 
SAFETY CAUTIONS
For external use only. Complete a skin-patch test at least 48 hours before every application and perform a separate strand test. Plant-based ingredients can still cause allergic reactions, and a negative patch test does not guarantee that a reaction will not occur.
 
Do not use on an irritated, injured, infected or severely inflamed scalp. Avoid contact with the eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes, mouth and broken skin. If the product enters the eyes, rinse immediately and continuously with lukewarm water.
 
Stop use and rinse thoroughly if intense burning, itching, blistering, dizziness or marked redness occurs. Seek urgent medical attention for facial or throat swelling, wheezing or difficulty breathing.
 
Henna colour is difficult to remove and may react unpredictably with bleach, permanent colour, relaxers or perms—especially when the composition of a previous henna product is unknown. Show the complete ingredient label to your stylist and perform a strand test before any later chemical treatment. Do not bleach over henna-treated hair without professional guidance.
 
Use gloves because henna can stain skin, nails, clothing, towels, grout and porous surfaces. Keep the powder away from the face while mixing to avoid inhaling airborne dust.
 
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Consult a healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding if you have allergies, asthma, a sensitive scalp or a history of reactions to botanical hair products.
