Adults who require additional vitamin C because of limited dietary intake, increased nutritional needs or professional recommendation. This product contains plain ascorbic acid without added bioflavonoids and may be less suitable for people who experience stomach irritation with acidic vitamin C.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults 19 years and older: Take 1–2 capsules daily. Taking it with food or dividing a two-capsule dose may improve digestive tolerance.
 
Depending on the dose, 240 capsules provide a 120- to 240-day supply. Two capsules provide 2,000 mg—the adult tolerable upper intake level—so include vitamin C from other supplements when calculating your total daily intake.
 
MEDICATION & SAFETY CAUTIONS
High doses may cause diarrhea, nausea, heartburn or abdominal cramping. Reduce the dose and seek advice if these effects persist.
 
Consult a healthcare professional before using high-dose vitamin C if you have kidney disease, a history of calcium-oxalate kidney stones, hemochromatosis or another iron-overload disorder. Vitamin C increases non-heme iron absorption, so check your combined intake if you also use an iron supplement.
 
If you are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy, use antioxidant supplements only with approval from your oncology team. High-dose vitamin C may also affect certain laboratory tests; tell your healthcare team that you take it before blood, urine or glucose testing.

Each vegetable capsule provides vitamin C as ascorbic acid 1,000 mg. Non-medicinal ingredients are hypromellose, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose.
