A three-pack of replacement filters for Santevia’s original alkaline water pitcher. Each filter reduces unwanted tastes and odours from tap water while adding calcium, magnesium and other minerals for smoother-tasting, mineralized water.
 
BEST FOR
Households already using a compatible Santevia pitcher and wanting approximately six months of replacement filtration. Each filter lasts for up to 60 days or 300 litres, depending on water quality and usage.
 
These appear to be Santevia’s older Classic pitcher filters, UPC 708574004225. They should not automatically be assumed compatible with the newer MINA Pitcher or Glass Water System. Confirm the shape and model against your existing filter before purchasing.
 
HOW TO USE IT
Prepare and install each filter according to the enclosed package directions. Ensure it is seated securely in the pitcher before filling the upper reservoir.
 
Discard the first batches of filtered water as directed on the package to flush away harmless loose filter particles.
 
Replace the filter after:
60 days of use
300 litres or 80 gallons of water
A noticeable return of chlorine taste or odour
A significant change in filtration speed
 
Whichever occurs first.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
This household filter is intended for municipally treated tap water. It does not sterilize water and should not be used to make microbiologically unsafe or untreated water safe to drink.
 
During a municipal boil-water advisory, follow public-health instructions. Filtering does not replace boiling unless authorities specifically state otherwise.
Do not use hot water, as heat can damage the filter and affect performance. Keep the pitcher refrigerated when practical and clean it regularly to reduce microbial buildup.
 
Mineralized or alkaline water does not meaningfully change the body’s tightly regulated blood pH and should not be presented as a treatment for reflux, kidney disease or another health condition.
 
People with advanced kidney disease, dialysis requirements or medically prescribed mineral restrictions should ask their healthcare team whether mineralized water is appropriate.
 
FILTER INFORMATION
The filtration media are designed to:
Reduce chlorine taste and odour
Reduce selected heavy metals and other contaminants
Add calcium, magnesium and trace minerals
Increase the mineral content and pH of the filtered water
 
Performance varies with source-water quality, temperature, usage and filter age. This older filter should not be advertised with the current MINA filter’s newer contaminant-reduction percentages unless the physical package confirms those claims.
 
The package contains three filters. Each filter measures approximately 12 cm high by 8.5 cm in diameter.
 
CARE AND STORAGE
Store unused filters sealed in a cool, dry place. Wash the pitcher regularly with mild detergent and a soft sponge, but do not wash the filter with soap or place it in a dishwasher.
 
The plastic cartridge may be recyclable after the filtration material has been removed, subject to local recycling rules.
