WHY WE STOCK IT
Blood glucose test strips designed exclusively for compatible CONTOUR®NEXT meters. Each strip requires a small 0.6 µL blood sample and uses No Coding™ technology, helping simplify routine blood glucose monitoring at home.
 
Second-Chance® Sampling allows additional blood to be applied to the same strip when the initial sample is insufficient—within 60 seconds on CONTOUR®NEXT GEN and ONE meters or 20 seconds on the NEXT EZ.
 
BEST FOR
People with diabetes who use a compatible CONTOUR®NEXT blood glucose meter and need strips for scheduled testing, suspected high or low glucose, or confirmation when a continuous glucose monitor reading does not match their symptoms.
 
These strips help monitor a diabetes-management plan. They are not intended to diagnose or screen for diabetes and are not approved for neonatal testing.

They may also work with certain older CONTOUR®NEXT systems when specifically identified in that meter’s instructions. They do not work with original CONTOUR® meters that do not carry the word “NEXT.” Confirm the meter model before purchasing.
 
HOW TO USE THEM
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, then dry them completely.
Remove one strip and immediately close the container tightly.
Insert the grey end of the strip into the compatible meter.
Use a new sterile lancet to obtain a blood drop.
Touch the strip’s sampling tip to the edge of the blood drop. Do not place blood on the flat surface.
Wait for the meter to display the result.
Remove and safely discard the used strip and lancet.
 
Each strip is for one test only. Never reuse a strip or lancet. Follow the complete instructions supplied with your specific meter.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Do not change insulin, diabetes medication, meals or activity solely because of an unexpected reading without following your healthcare professional’s instructions.
 
If a reading does not match how you feel:
Wash and dry your hands
Repeat the test with a new strip
Use control solution if the meter or strips may not be working correctly
Contact a healthcare professional if the unexpected result continues
 
Treat symptoms of hypoglycemia promptly according to your established diabetes plan. Seek urgent medical help for severe confusion, unconsciousness, seizure, inability to swallow, persistent vomiting, difficulty breathing or signs of diabetic ketoacidosis.
 
If the meter displays LO, follow your healthcare professional’s instructions immediately. If it displays HI, wash and dry your hands and retest with a new strip; obtain immediate medical advice if the result remains HI.
 
Capillary testing may be unreliable during shock, severe dehydration, severe hypotension, reduced peripheral circulation, hypoxia or a hyperosmolar state. The system is not intended for critically ill patients.
 
Do not use the strips during or shortly after a xylose-absorption test because xylose can interfere with the result. Tell the healthcare professional ordering the test that you use this glucose-monitoring system.
 
Alternative-site testing is not appropriate when glucose may be changing rapidly, after meals, insulin or exercise, when checking a suspected low, for continuous glucose monitor calibration or when making insulin-dose calculations. Follow the instructions for the specific meter.
 
Meters and lancing devices are intended for one person and must not be shared. Used strips and lancets can carry blood-borne pathogens; dispose of them according to local instructions.
 
TEST-STRIP INFORMATION
Each strip contains:
FAD glucose dehydrogenase derived from Aspergillus species
An electron-transfer mediator
Non-reactive ingredients
 
The manufacturer does not identify soy, gluten, dairy or other common food allergens in the strip composition. These are medical-device reagents and are not intended for ingestion; no explicit soy-free or allergen-free certification was located.

STORAGE
Store strips in their original container at approximately 5–30°C and 10–80% relative humidity. Keep the lid tightly closed and protect the strips from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.
 
If the strips or meter are moved between significantly different temperatures, allow approximately 20 minutes for them to adjust before testing.
 
Use strips only before the expiry date printed on the container and carton. Do not use a strip that is wet, damaged, previously used or stored in a container left open.
