A simple powdered-clay mask designed to absorb surface oil and help remove dirt and buildup from the skin. When mixed with water, the bentonite forms a spreadable mask that leaves oily or congested skin feeling deeply cleansed.

People with oily, combination or blemish-prone skin seeking a customizable, fragrance-free facial mask. The large 454 g container provides multiple applications and can also be used as a clay bath according to the manufacturer’s directions.
 
Bentonite clay can absorb surface oils, but claims that it “draws toxins” from the body have not been established. It is a cosmetic cleanser—not a treatment for acne, eczema, infection or another skin condition.
 
HOW TO USE IT
Using a non-metal bowl and utensil:
Mix 1 tablespoon of clay with approximately 3 tablespoons of water.
Stir until smooth and allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes.
Stir again and apply a thin, even layer to a clean face, neck or décolleté, avoiding the eyes and lips.
After approximately 15–20 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water while the mask is still slightly tacky.
 
Do not allow the mask to become completely dry, cracked or uncomfortable. Begin with a shorter application if your skin is dry or sensitive. Use once weekly initially and apply a fragrance-free moisturizer afterward if needed.
 
The manufacturer advises avoiding metal utensils and acidic additives. Mix only the amount required for one application and discard any unused prepared mask.

For external use only. Do not swallow or use this product as an internal “detox.”
The fine powder can irritate the lungs and eyes. Open and measure it carefully, avoid creating airborne dust and do not inhale the powder. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, broken skin and severely irritated or sunburned areas.
 
Patch-test the prepared mask before applying it to the face. Stop use and rinse immediately if intense burning, itching, swelling or persistent redness develops. Overuse may disrupt the skin barrier and worsen dryness or irritation.
Keep the dry powder out of reach of children and pets. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place.
 
INGREDIENT INFORMATION
Fine bentonite clay: approximately 95–99%, with naturally occurring silica described by the supplier as fine sand.
 
The product is vegan, gluten-free and not tested on animals. It contains no added fragrance, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium laureth sulphate or synthetic detergent.
 
Because bentonite is a naturally mined material, its mineral composition can vary. Follow the physical package directions and do not use it internally.
