A Health Canada–licensed liquid herbal formula used as a diuretic for the maintenance of kidney health. It combines dandelion root, uva-ursi, horsetail, corn silk, schisandra and several traditional Chinese herbs.
 
The alcohol- and glycerin-free liquid format provides an alternative for adults who prefer not to take capsules or tinctures.

Adults seeking occasional herbal diuretic support after a healthcare professional has confirmed that increasing urine output is appropriate.
 
Despite its name, Kidney Flush does not “cleanse” the kidneys, dissolve kidney stones, treat kidney disease or cure a urinary tract infection. It should not be used to manage swelling, painful urination or reduced kidney function without medical assessment.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Shake well and take 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 mL) once daily. It may be taken with or without food.
 
At the labelled dose, the 500 mL bottle provides approximately:
33 daily servings at 15 mL
16 daily servings at 30 mL
 
Use occasionally. Do not take continuously for longer than one month.
Maintain normal fluid intake unless a healthcare professional has instructed you to restrict fluids.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
 
Do not use if you:
Have a liver or gallbladder disorder
Have a blocked bile duct or bowel obstruction
Are allergic to grasses or plants in the daisy family
Have been instructed to restrict fluids or avoid diuretics
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you have kidney disease, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease or persistent swelling.
 
Ask our pharmacist before combining this formula with:
A prescription diuretic or “water pill”
Lithium
Blood-pressure or heart medication
Medication that affects potassium or other electrolytes
Diabetes medication
Another diuretic herb or supplement
 
Increasing urine output can contribute to dehydration, dizziness, low blood pressure or electrolyte disturbances. Stop use and seek advice if you develop marked thirst, weakness, muscle cramps, faintness, reduced urination or a rapid or irregular heartbeat.
 
Discontinue use and obtain medical advice if symptoms of liver trouble develop, including yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, unusual fatigue, loss of appetite or persistent upper-abdominal pain.
 
Seek prompt medical assessment for fever, chills, vomiting, blood in the urine, severe back or side pain, painful urination, inability to urinate or rapidly worsening swelling. These symptoms should not be treated with a “kidney flush.”
 
MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS
Each tablespoon (15 mL) contains:
Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale): 12 g
Uva-ursi leaf (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi): 300 mg
Asiatic cornelian-cherry fruit (Cornus officinalis): 270 mg
Christina loosestrife herb (Lysimachia christinae): 230 mg
Chuling sclerotium (Polyporus umbellatus): 230 mg
Corn silk (Zea mays): 230 mg
Horsetail stem (Equisetum arvense): 150 mg
Chinese magnoliavine or schisandra fruit (Schisandra chinensis): 150 mg
 
The stated dandelion amount may represent a crude-herb equivalent used to prepare the liquid rather than 12 g of physical material in each tablespoon. Refer to the current physical label for the manufacturer’s exact extract-equivalency description.
 
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS
Citric acid, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate.
Alcohol- and glycerin-free. Labelled free from dairy, yeast, corn, wheat and gluten.
