Peppermint oil provides a noticeable cooling sensation but is not a ready-to-use body oil or a treatment for headaches, nausea, respiratory illness, muscle pain or another medical condition.
 
HOW TO USE IT
For diffusion, add only the amount recommended by the diffuser manufacturer. Use intermittently in a well-ventilated room rather than continuously.
 
For topical use, dilute it thoroughly in a carrier oil or incorporate it into a properly formulated cosmetic product. The appropriate concentration depends on the intended use, the person’s age and skin sensitivity. Follow a tested formulation or obtain guidance from a qualified aromatherapist.
 
Patch-test the finished diluted product before wider use. Do not add undiluted essential oil directly to bathwater because it does not dissolve in water and may contact the skin at full strength.
 
Because this bulk bottle may not include a dropper, measure and transfer the oil carefully using equipment intended for essential oils.
 
SAFETY CAUTIONS
For external use only. Do not swallow or use as a mouthwash. If swallowed, contact a poison-control centre promptly and do not induce vomiting unless instructed.
 
Never apply undiluted peppermint oil to the skin. Concentrated menthol may cause burning, irritation or sensitization. Avoid the eyes, mouth, nostrils, inner ears, mucous membranes, broken skin and highly sensitive areas. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling it.
 
Do not apply peppermint oil on or near the face, nose or chest of infants or young children. Menthol-rich vapours may interfere with normal breathing. Keep the bottle securely out of reach of children.
 
The manufacturer advises avoiding use during pregnancy or while under medical care unless approved by a healthcare professional. Ask for professional guidance before use while breastfeeding or if you have asthma, epilepsy, a significant medical condition or take prescription medication.
 
Use diffusion cautiously around pets and always allow animals to leave the room. Consult a veterinarian before using concentrated peppermint oil around pets.
 
Stop use and move to fresh air if coughing, wheezing, headache, dizziness, nausea or breathing discomfort develops. Seek immediate medical attention for difficulty breathing, significant swelling or a severe reaction.
 
Concentrated essential oil is combustible. Keep it away from heat, sparks and open flames.

ALLERGEN INFORMATION
Peppermint oil naturally contains fragrance constituents, including limonene, that may cause irritation or an allergic skin reaction in sensitive individuals. Oxidized oil may be more irritating.
 
It contains no carrier oil and is not pre-diluted.
 
STORAGE
Keep tightly closed in its original container and store upright in a cool, dark, well-ventilated location away from sunlight, heat and flames. Limiting exposure to heat, light and air helps slow oxidation.
 
Keep securely out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the oil if its aroma, colour or consistency changes noticeably.
