A comprehensive digestive formula combining L-glutamine and quercetin with globe artichoke, bromelain, European angelica, turmeric and peppermint. It is used in herbal medicine to help relieve digestive upset such as indigestion and to increase bile flow.
 
BEST FOR
Adults seeking support for meal-related indigestion, fullness or digestive discomfort. Although formerly sold as “Digestion & IBS,” the product’s licensed indication is digestive-upset relief and increased bile flow; it is not a treatment for irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease.
 
Persistent bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, blood in the stool or unexplained weight loss should be medically assessed.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults 18 years and older: Take 3 capsules twice daily with meals. Consult a healthcare practitioner before using it for longer than 12 weeks.
At the labelled dose of 6 capsules daily, 120 capsules provide a 20-day supply.
 
MEDICATION & SAFETY CAUTIONS
Do not use during pregnancy or if you have a bile-duct obstruction. Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you:
Are breastfeeding or preparing for surgery
Have gallstones or another biliary disorder
Have anemia, a peptic ulcer, another gastrointestinal lesion or excess stomach acid
Take antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, an anticoagulant or an antiplatelet drug
 
Bromelain and turmeric may increase bleeding risk when combined with medications such as warfarin, apixaban, rivaroxaban, clopidogrel or regular-dose aspirin. Peppermint may aggravate heartburn or reflux in some people.
 
Digestive discomfort may occur. European angelica may increase sensitivity to sunlight, so avoid prolonged sun, ultraviolet-light and UV-therapy exposure.
 
Stop use if an allergic reaction occurs or symptoms worsen.

Quercetin: 125 mg
Globe artichoke 4:1 extract: 107 mg, equivalent to 428 mg dried leaf
Bromelain: 50 mg
European angelica 4:1 extract: 50 mg, equivalent to 200 mg dried root and rhizome
Turmeric extract standardized to 95% curcuminoids: 31 mg
Peppermint 10:1 extract: 20 mg, equivalent to 200 mg dried leaf
 
Non-medicinal ingredients are hypromellose, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin and silicon dioxide.
