A naturally caffeine-free stimulant-laxative tea formulated with organic senna leaf and a sweet, aromatic blend of licorice, fennel, orange, cinnamon, coriander and ginger. It is licensed in Canada for overnight relief of occasional constipation and generally produces a bowel movement within 6–12 hours.

Adults and adolescents older than 12 experiencing short-term, occasional constipation.
 
Smooth Move is not intended for daily bowel “cleansing,” detoxification or weight loss. Any temporary change on the scale reflects fluid and stool loss—not body-fat reduction. Recurring constipation requires assessment of fluid and fibre intake, medication effects, activity, pelvic-floor function and possible medical causes.
 
HOW TO USE IT
Adults and children older than 12:
Pour 240 mL of freshly boiled water over 1 tea bag.
Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
Gently squeeze and remove the tea bag.
Drink 1 freshly prepared cup once daily at bedtime.
 
Allow 6–12 hours for the laxative effect. Do not take more than one cup daily.
 
Take the tea at least two hours before or after medications and other natural health products because faster intestinal transit may reduce their absorption.
Do not use for longer than one week unless directed by a healthcare professional.
 
Children younger than 12 should use it only under a physician’s direction.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Do not use if you have:
Abdominal pain of unknown cause, nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea or loose stools
Suspected appendicitis, intestinal blockage, narrowing or inactive bowel
Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis or another acute intestinal inflammation
Severe dehydration or an existing fluid or electrolyte imbalance
 
Consult a healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
 
Ask our pharmacist before use if you take:
Digoxin or medication for a heart-rhythm disorder
Diuretics or corticosteroids
Medication that may lower potassium
Other stimulant laxatives or products containing senna or licorice
Medication for blood pressure, kidney disease or heart disease
 
Possible adverse effects include abdominal cramping, urgency, diarrhea and nausea. Excessive or prolonged use may cause dehydration, low potassium, electrolyte disturbances and dependence on stimulant laxatives.
 
Stop use and seek medical advice if rectal bleeding occurs, if no bowel movement follows treatment or if constipation persists or repeatedly returns.
 
Seek urgent care for severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, marked swelling, inability to pass gas or stool, black stools or significant bleeding.
 
MEDICINAL INGREDIENT
Each 2 g tea bag contains:
Organic senna leaf (Senna alexandrina): 1,080 mg
 
Senna stimulates intestinal contractions and is responsible for the laxative effect.
 
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS AND ALLERGENS
Organic licorice root, organic bitter fennel fruit, organic sweet-orange peel, organic cinnamon bark, organic coriander fruit, organic ginger rhizome and organic sweet-orange-peel oil on gum arabic.
 
Certified organic, kosher, Non-GMO Project Verified and naturally caffeine-free.
No soy ingredient is listed. A formal shared-facility allergen statement was not verified, so anyone with a severe soy or other food allergy should confirm the current box with the manufacturer.
