WHY WE STOCK IT
A versatile peanut powder made by pressing roasted peanuts to remove most of their oil, then grinding them and adding small amounts of sugar and salt. When prepared as directed, it provides peanut flavour with substantially less fat and fewer calories than conventional peanut butter.
 
Each 13 g serving provides approximately 6 g of plant-based protein and can be mixed into a spread or added directly to smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt, sauces and baking.

PB2 is not nutritionally identical to regular peanut butter. Removing most of the peanut oil also removes much of its monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat, so conventional natural peanut butter may be more filling and appropriate when additional dietary fat or calories are needed.
 
This Original formula contains added sugar and salt. PB2 Pure Peanut Powder is the alternative for customers wanting peanuts without either ingredient.
 
HOW TO USE IT
To prepare a spread:
Mix 2 tablespoons of PB2 powder with approximately 1½ tablespoons of water.
Stir until smooth.
Add water gradually to reach the desired consistency.
 
Prepare only the amount required. Shake or stir the dry powder before measuring because natural clumping may occur.
 
The powder can also be blended directly into smoothies, yogurt and oatmeal or incorporated into sauces, baked goods and protein recipes.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Contains peanuts and is not safe for anyone with a peanut allergy. Removing most of the oil does not remove the allergenic peanut proteins.
 
Stop eating and seek urgent medical attention for hives, facial or throat swelling, wheezing, breathing difficulty, repeated vomiting, dizziness or another sign of anaphylaxis. Use prescribed epinephrine immediately when indicated and call 911.
 
Do not eat the dry powder by the spoonful, as fine powder can be inhaled or cause coughing and choking. Mix it into liquid or moist food before serving it to young children or anyone with swallowing difficulty.
 
Introducing peanut to an infant may help reduce future allergy risk, but the timing and method should be discussed with a healthcare professional when the infant has severe eczema, egg allergy or a previous food reaction.
 
People monitoring blood glucose or sodium should include the added sugar, carbohydrates and sodium in their meal plan. PB2 is a food and is not intended to replace a nutritionally complete protein supplement or meal.

STORAGE
Keep the container tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Use a dry utensil and protect the powder from moisture. Prepare the reconstituted spread only as needed.
