This product supports healthy flora but does not treat a urinary tract infection, bacterial vaginosis, a yeast infection or a sexually transmitted infection. It also does not contain the frequently studied vaginal strains L. rhamnosus GR-1 and L. reuteri RC-14; its L. rhamnosus strain is HN001.
 
HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: Take 1 capsule once daily.
 
If taking an antibiotic, take the probiotic at least 2–3 hours before or after each antibiotic dose. Continue following the antibiotic instructions provided by your prescriber.
At the labelled dose, 50 capsules provide a 50-day supply.
 
Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Refrigeration is not required under normal storage conditions, but avoid heat and moisture because these can reduce probiotic potency.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Do not use if you have an immune-compromised condition, including AIDS or lymphoma, or if you are receiving long-term corticosteroid treatment, unless specifically directed by a healthcare professional.
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Take an immunosuppressant or have a weakened immune system
Have a central venous catheter or a serious underlying illness
Have fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhea or severe abdominal pain
 
Temporary gas, bloating or changes in bowel habits can occur when starting a probiotic. Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if digestive upset occurs, worsens or continues for more than three days.
 
Seek medical assessment for painful or frequent urination, fever, flank pain, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, unusual discharge, strong odour, sores or symptoms that recur. These concerns require proper diagnosis and should not be managed with a probiotic alone.
 
Keep out of reach of children.
 
PROBIOTIC STRAINS
Each vegetable capsule provides 20 billion CFU:
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis HN019: 10 billion CFU
Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14: 8 billion CFU
Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus HN001: 2 billion CFU
 
The product may use the older label name Lactobacillus rhamnosus for HN001. The strain remains the same despite updated bacterial naming conventions.
 
Each strain is identity-verified using NOW’s RiboPrinter™ DNA-fingerprinting technology.
 
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS AND ALLERGENS
Microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose vegetable capsule, stearic acid from a vegetable source and silicon dioxide.
 
Vegan and vegetarian. Made without wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree-nut or sesame ingredients. It is produced in a GMP facility that also processes ingredients containing some of these allergens, so customers with severe allergies should review the physical label.
