HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults 19 years and older: Take 1 capsule once daily.
 
The Canadian label recommends using it for at least eight weeks before assessing beneficial effects. It can be taken with food if stomach sensitivity occurs.
 
At the labelled dose, 90 capsules provide a 90-day supply.
 
MEDICATION AND SAFETY CAUTIONS
Avoid combining ashwagandha with alcohol, cannabis, sleeping medication, benzodiazepines, sedating antihistamines or other products that cause drowsiness.
 
Consult a healthcare practitioner before use if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have thyroid disease or take thyroid medication
Have liver disease or a history of unexplained liver problems
Have an autoimmune condition or take immunosuppressant medication
Take medication for diabetes, blood pressure, anxiety, depression or sleep
Have frequent anxiety, depression or another psychological condition
Have been diagnosed with sexual dysfunction or hypoactive sexual desire disorder
Have benign prostate enlargement, prostate cancer or a history of prostate cancer
Are preparing for surgery
 
Ashwagandha may affect thyroid hormones, blood glucose, blood pressure, immune activity and sedation. It should not be combined casually with prescription medication without checking for interactions.
 
Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution when driving, operating machinery or performing activities requiring mental alertness until you know how it affects you.
 
Possible effects include stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, headache or vivid dreams. Rare cases of liver injury have been associated with ashwagandha products. Stop use and seek prompt medical advice for yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, severe fatigue, persistent nausea or unexplained abdominal pain.
