Triple-000 capsules are substantially larger than common sizes 0 and 00 and may be difficult for some people to swallow. They are generally unsuitable for children and anyone with swallowing difficulties.
 
These are empty shells and do not contain a supplement or medication. The safety and effectiveness of a finished capsule depend entirely on its contents and the accuracy of its preparation.
 
HOW TO USE THEM
Separate the capsule body from its cap, place an accurately measured dry powder into the longer section and press the two sections together until securely closed.
 
Depending on the powder’s density and fineness, a triple-000 capsule holds approximately 1,230 mg. The same volume of two different powders can have very different weights, so always use an accurate milligram scale when a specific dose is required.
 
A capsule-filling tray made specifically for size 000 capsules may improve consistency when preparing multiple capsules.
 
SAFETY CAUTIONS
Because triple-000 capsules are large, swallow them individually with plenty of water while sitting or standing upright. Do not use this size if capsules commonly become stuck in your throat or if you have difficulty swallowing. Ask a pharmacist about a smaller capsule or another dosage form.
 
Do not use empty capsules to reproduce, divide or alter prescription medication unless a pharmacist or prescriber has provided explicit instructions.
 
Crushing or opening extended-release, delayed-release, enteric-coated, hazardous or narrow-therapeutic-index medication can cause serious harm.
 
Do not fill these capsules with essential oils, tinctures, water or other liquids. Moisture can soften or dissolve the gelatin shell.
 
Before preparing capsules, confirm that:
The ingredient is suitable for oral consumption
The intended dose is safe and accurately weighed
The powder can be handled safely at home
It does not interact with medications or medical conditions
Every prepared capsule can be properly identified and stored
 
Label the finished container with all ingredients, the amount per capsule and the preparation date. Never place unidentified homemade capsules in an existing medication or supplement bottle.
 
Keep the empty and filled capsules securely away from children and pets.
