WHY WE STOCK IT
A vegetarian herbal stimulant laxative intended for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Each capsule provides 450 mg of senna leaf, with effects generally occurring within 6–12 hours.

BEST FOR
Adults who need occasional, short-term constipation relief. Senna is not intended as a daily fibre supplement or a long-term solution for chronic constipation. It should be avoided when constipation is accompanied by unexplained abdominal symptoms.

HOW TO TAKE IT
Adults: take 3 capsules per dose. Begin with one dose two or three times per week and increase to once daily only if needed. Allow 6–12 hours for an effect, so evening use may be most convenient. Take a few hours before or after other medications or supplements. Consult a healthcare professional before using for longer than seven days.

MEDICATION CAUTIONS
Consult our pharmacist before use if you take heart medication, corticosteroids, diuretics or other products that may affect electrolyte levels. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have inflammatory bowel disease, fever or undiagnosed gastrointestinal symptoms. Consultation is also required for kidney disease or a “lazy bowel.” Stop use if diarrhea occurs.
